Kate Misale is on the OAP Provider List. She is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Kate holds a Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis from the University of Western Ontario. She started her journey in ABA 10 years ago. Kate is a motivated, ambitious and hardworking individual with an inviting personality that allows you to feel comfortable in her presence. During her undergrad in Psychology at the University of Guelph, Kate did a placement at an elementary school. There, she was paired with a young boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is when she knew that working in ABA is where she belonged. In her 10 years within the field, she has held various positions which include: Educational Assistant, Social Group Leader, Working with teens with Autism, Instructor Therapist, Group Home Support Worker (for adults with ASD), Senior Therapist, professor and many more. She finally decided she wanted to focus on children with ASD and then decided to pursue her BCBA certification, and now she is happily a Clinical Supervisor for those children. Throughout her experience in the field, Kate has developed a strong sense of compassion, empathy, and understanding which has strengthened her skills as a leader. As a Clinical Supervisor, Kate also supervises BCBA, BCaBA and RBT candidates pursuing their certifications. Outside of Clinical Supervision, Kate is a Professor in the Autism & Behavioural Sciences program at Niagara College which she thoroughly enjoys! Apart from consistent hard work, Kate enjoys a healthy lifestyle by going to the gym and playing soccer. You can also find her trying new food at restaurants, at a concert, watching a movie or hanging out with her two dogs!
